Here is the best java Game I know
of. It's a clone of the classic arcade game, Pang! It has levels that are
true to the original, and the same is for the power-ups.

Another good one is Stoneroids. It is a game that I consider Asteroids
on (A)steroids . You can grab a power ups, and you have a shield level
rather than just one hit. Stoneroids 98 is even better! Check It out:
